Offline | Very nice comparison photos. I'm sorry to lose the storage compartments in the doors and the storage compartments alongside of the rear seats and along each side of the boot. The car had limited enough storage as it was, now it is even worse. I'd gladly give up a little extra rear seat width and get storage back, and give up a little boot space to have the 2 covered compartments there. Now the compressor and "Slime", along with the tire plugging kit, will have to take up prescious floor space instead of being secured safely out of the way in the little cubbys. I don't have any idea where my CD storage folder is going to go. Sorry to hijack the thread. Rant over. I do appreciate the photo comparisson. Well done. It really shows just how much higher the bonnet is and how it effects the whole re-design of the car. How much the waist line is raised and how squished the side windows look now, especially in the rear. The whole front end just looks much more bulky and the grille more agressive. The interior shots really demonstrates how jumbled the instrument display in the R56 is and how difficult it will be to read it quickly. The longer your eyes are off the road, trying to locate and decifer information, the greater a chance of an accident. The earliest dash arrangement, '02 - '04, was the best. Displays with larger readouts, spaced out so you knew exactly where to look for each piece of information. ie: clock in the overhead, mileage and trip mileage in the speedo, computer information in the tach display. Then there is the steering wheel, but that is a whole other issue. JOHO Motor on, Dudes and Dudettes!!! Offline | The 'S' at my dealer launch HAD soundproofing but the Cooper did not. On queering my dealer on the lack of one on the Cooper(as I'm getting one )he told me that they(the factory)have decided not to put any on to get a better noise from the engine,'cause there was complaints at the start that it was too quiet.Think it would look alot better under the bonnet with some though......
