| having fun or hungover... | Funny how dealers price cars with extra's? When we were first looking at a Mini we looked at a 52 plate Mini One with a few internal (But no Aircon) extra's aerokit fully colour coded and Bullets PDC and they were wanting £10k! (Excuse was it's dealer principles car so we've gave a lot of money for it!) Then we looked at a 52 plate cooper we liked but that had hardly any extras! Buying a Cooper rather than a One - need to find one with better spec! We then went to Woodmans to look at an electric blue cooper - but they had the Liquid Yellow Cooper with every extra in the world for the same price (panoramic sunroof / chilli pack / auto aircon / MFSW / 1/2 leather / visibility pack / black roof and mirror caps)! We decided we quite liked the LY/B and it ticked all the toy boxes! Shame i didn't realise they'd it on the forecourt 6 months til we got it home! ![]() Might have tried to push a harder bargain - but was told when buying it that they'd already knocked £1500 off screen price in the last 6 weeks to try to shift it? ![]() |

Offline | I was very sensible and didn't get carried away. Chili pack, vis pack and paint. However all that went to the wall as I fell under the spell of my Mini and have spent 3 years buying new totally irresistible bits. I just can't stop modifying. It's all fun though and better to spend like you are rich and die poor than vice versa. ![]() Some people are like a Slinky ........ not really good for anything, but you still can't help but smile when you shove them down the stairs |
