| I cannot believe how quickly 2 years has gone - I never met Ruthie, but looking through old threads, and hearing about her, she will never be forgotten ![]() I'll never forget first reading this thread all that time ago - I had not long before signed up, so it was all new to me!! I believe in the phrase 'The star that shines twice as brightly, lasts for half as long', and this seems to be a perfect case in point. Last edited by mister.t; Nov 26th, 2008 at 09:37 AM. | This was one of my introductory threads to MINI2 and I felt a mix of admiration, pride, and deep sadness when I read it. I felt loss too...loss that I would never meet Ruthie in person because through all of these messages, I came to know she was an 'angel' here on earth. In my own belief system, I keep memories alive by honoring those who have passed from our midst with attitudes and awareness that does in fact honor them. Ruthie, it seems, was an inspiration by her being--her kindness, generosity, and friendship resonates through this and many other threads. She seems to be the kind of person we really need more of in our topsy-turvy world today. Though I never met her, she is an inspiration to me. A toast...to Ruthie. |
