Gerard, I tend to agree with you. A reality though, is the time of year. Our credit cards are maxed from Xmas and both of us having to get new glasses ($550). I don't feel what we donated was enough, but it was all we could spare.

Please don't chastize people for not being able to donate more, what they did donate might be all they have to give.

Jim ,
You make a valid point , however I never questioned the amounts being donated in fact I admire anyone who took the trouble to help when asked , I simply think if all the regular posters gave something in fact anything at all We would have raised a considerable amount by now . Anyway as I write Bobs target has almost been met ( $ 952. ) but I have certainly learned from the experience .

About time I got around to this.
Should be over $1K now.
That doesn't mean it's time to stop giving, though!

Bye, Ruthie

I'm the same. I just tried two cards and for both it says:

Seeing as I am unable to donate to the American Cancer Society, I will give my donation to Cancer Research UK. Both charities are working towards the same goal, the understanding of cancer and to develop better ways to prevent, diagnose and treat the disease. If anyone else wishes to do the same, the link is below.

Mo - we already have a UK setup if you'd rather do that, it's for Marie Curie, another cancer charity, and is the MINI2 charity of the year and also where the Ball funds are heading
