Newbie

Hi, been looking at Mini2.com for a while and decided to join now that I intend to get a Mini. The website has provided some interesting reading for me.

At present I am torn between the new, new Mini and the last model, but will probably go for the new, new Cooper S as I am looking for a brand new car really.

Please accept my apologies if I have put this entry in the wrong place. I am sure I will learn as I become more familiar with the website.

Thanks
Yakob

Hello

The new COOPER S is a great car! I drove one yesterday and loved it!

There are still some unsold 1st gen S's out there somewhere too i should think.

Have fun

Can someone post the breakdowns on what generations the different years are. I just finally learned the BMW letters and numbers with my E34 but now the MIni call letters are all new to me.

Thank you that is a very useful article. I now know that the R56 is the type of Mini I am considering. It helps a lot with some of the other conversations I see on the website.

Thanks. Is that a common British term? I had seen it in a few earlier posts, but my U.S. dictionaries did not recognize it.
