awful though, could be jealously as well, which is allways the case. Sc*mbags! so sorry to hear this, i hope it dosent cost you to much, no street cameras near by or people that live in the houses near by see or hear anything?

does it look like a key has scratched it or something else?

I don't know anyone round that area.

My car was parked up the street a bit near the horrible part of the area apparently, so maybe I parked in someone's place or someone was drunk or it was a young hooligan who was bored!! No cameras at all.

It was definitely a key. It looks like they walked round the car and swiped the side and then the boot or vice versa.

oh no - rotten bar stewards!

mind you, people dont have any respect for another persons property!

i was parked in a supermarket carpark the other day and a lady walked between my car and the one next door with a trolley of all the things! AND she knew i was sat in the car!

hope its looking good as new again soon Inga

That's awful IH1.

I don't understand why people do things like this. I know a lot of people say it's because of jealousy but you have to be pretty weak to vandalise someone's pride and joy because you're jealous of them.

I hope it doesn't cost too much to fix.

This is the reason I will not buy another MINI or any car without moving to a new house with a garage. I'll feel safer when shes all locked away off the streets.

Hope it gets fixed soon IH1

yea i compleatly agree with you, mines in a garage at night. But the thing is as people keep telling me you cant wrap them in cotton wool (as much as i would like to!!!) and in the end you are going to have to park them somewhere out of site. Thats when things like this can happen

I agree. You can't watch over your car 24/7. However, when I recently moved into my ghetto pad, I made sure I had an enclosed garage. When I visit friends who live in worse ghetto areas than me, I'm always a little panicky about what may happen to my Little Guy.

I picked up my new (1st timer) Mini Cooper (Silver with black roof) on Thursday and went to work today in the old Clio - just in case someone scratched my baby !!!! Sad or what ? I know that I have to go to work in it when the Clio goes but until then the baby stays on the drive.
I should also lose weight in the next few months due to the long walk across car parks in supermarkets !!!! This is to try and avoid anyone parking near to me - but doesn't someone always do it ????

I'm sorry that some inconsiderate scumbag(s) decided to do what they did. I recently had my rear MINI wings badge stolen. Words cant even describe how much I hate people that damage/ destroy other peoples property that they have worked hard for. And its a sad fact that its more than likely through jealousy.
Hope it all gets sorted soon.
Matt.

I have a garage at home but I was at my cousins house where it got scratched!! Its so annoying as that is the reason why I get a garage, to take it off the streets, but it still happens!!

I remember picking up my Fiat Coupe from the body shop after a full re-spray...... not cheap and a top job done.

Same day out side a bar....... keyed. The paint was so fresh that the top coat was hanging at one end of the scratch like a piece of string

Sorry to hear that someone keyed your Mini - I can sympathise as someone scratched mine last week and I was gutted.

Must be something about owning a Mini - I've never been quite that attached to a car in my entire life!
