Hey Nathan, how you doing?! You could try asking Jo-Man as I know he had this fitted in his MCS

Slightly off topic, are you coming to the IJ reunion in March?

It's easy to fit yourself. Mine came with instructions, which I modified a bit. The instructsions tell you to drill 3 holes in the dash--one for the wire and two for screws. Instead of screwing it to the dash, I used double-sided tape. So, I only needed one hole for the wire and it was easier to get it placed right. The wire just needs hooked into the ODB port.

Excellent, hope to see you there then. Yeah things are good here thanks

Jo-Man doesn't post a great deal on here, but I think he lives in Shoreham - thinking about it, he probably got his fitted at the JCW garage before they closed down actually

Merry Chrimbo to you and the family too, and Happy New Year - catch up with you soon

I guess I'm the one who's a little dumb. I typed ODB when I meant OBD--on board diagnostics. In a left-hand drive car, the port can be found to the left of the driver's feet (near the fuses). I haven't seen a right-hand drive car, but this stuff might be on the right side of the car in these models.

I no longer have my instruction sheet, but I managed to find one on the internet: http://www.mossmotors.com/graphics/p...40_101-741.pdf.

With my method, you still have to drill 1 hole for the wire. The other holes aren't necessary if you use double-sided tape to attach the indicator to the dash (instead of screws). I thought it was easier to properly position this way.

I'm sure you'll like it once it's installed. Just have a few sentences planned for your passengers when they ask, "What's that thing?"

I noticed in the new JCW accessories for the '07 that they show a picture of the shift light mounted just below the tach on the steering column. Is the '06 and '07 shiftlight the same just located in a different area, or did they come up with a different unit? Thanks Steve
P.S. Be carefull, if your airbag ever goes off that light could become a projectile

I haven't seen the '07 JCW shiftlight, so I don't know for sure if it's any different. The previous JCW shiftlight mounted to the center dash--above the speedo.

Thanks for that picture. I'm not sure I'd like it as much if it wasn't mounted in the center of the dash. I believe I've read some complaints about the mounting location of the last model, so they must be responding to customer opinion. Oh well.
