Removing a front wing/access to washer pump

Hello,

I am wondering how hard it is to remove the front wing from my Mini Cooper S (2003 model). I've recently had it replaced (after someone dented it!) and I'm now miles from the garage. However I've realised the front and rear washer jets are reversed - hence, I suspect I need to gain access to the washer pump, and I also suspect this is behind the wing.

I can see a few screws on the wing under the bonnet, but what else is there to remove? I assume the plastic trim around the wing needs removing, but if it's clips then I assume I just give it a pull? I say that because I suspect there are some bolts under the trim that hold the wing on.

Also, is removing the wing required? Can access be gained from the wheel arch lining, if so, how do I get that off?

Any advice/scans of Haynes Manual pages/etc., would be most appreciated!

Merry Christmas,

J

Come on..

Someone must have some thoughts..

I've discovered a few screws under the bonnet, a star screw behind the plastic S grill, a plastic screw attaching the wing to the wheel arch trim but what else is there? There must be something down by the side skirt - do I really have to take off the side skirt? I hope not!

Solved

The two pipes connected to the washer pump can easily be confused, so after removing the wheel and undoing a few wheel arch lining screws, I could gain enough access to the pump to swap the pipes!
