| Having a Mini Adventure!! | After a few days off during which we were busy, we finally settled down for our first quiet night in together on Wednesday night, only to have Bella (our Dog) go mad barking at about 11pm, on looking outside it was to find that some drunken yobbo had decided for no apparent reason to throw a bottle through the rear windscreen on my 19 month old Mini Cooper!!!! Nothing was taken, it doesnt even appear that they have even tried to break into it, just that they have decided to break the window for no apparent reason! Ok, its a nice car, but why does someone have to do such mindless vandalism? What gives them the right to destroy / damage anothers property for no reason, what possible good would it have done them, and why???? My Mini is the first decent car I have ever owned, and the first new car I have ever bought, it wasnt cheap (but I work darn hard to be able to afford it), but it is my pride and joy, its fab to drive and I thoroughly enjoy driving it, but now I am worried that someone, probably some low life scum that doesnt work and does nothing but drink has decided that if they cant have one, then neither should I enjoy it! Sorry for the rant, but I'm now £75 lighter in my purse (excess on insurance) and thoroughly bogged off about it! ![]() |

Offline | This just makes me so cross. Seems you're not allowed to have anything these days. Serious lack of respect by so many for others' property, it stinks!![]() |

Offline | My daughter's mini was vandalised just before Christmas. They took the(Checkered) wing mirrors and kicked the sides and scratched the side windows. She had to claim on her insurance and it cost her £300 excess. £1400 in total damages. ![]() |

| 220 of your finest horses | don't it make ya mad? Some little scrote ripped the Superbee's wing mirror off a while back - seems he was ******ed up on booze and thought that a bit of mindless damage would make his life seem more bearable (it didn't, as a neighbour saw him do it and this led to an arrest). It's a nasty feeling when you're looking at your MINI and wondering why anyone would want to trash it - so I'm sorry to hear your news - hope it's the last bit of MINI vandalism we hear about. Offline | I may have posted this here before, but when i was at uni a drunken @r$£ danced over my car, stoved the roof in and did a load of damage. He also did a load of the other cars in the street as well. This sent me into a rage of biblical proportions, and i vowed revenge. It took me two weeks to find the culprit, as I was at a small uni and my mates put "the feelers out". An ulitimatum was served: Pick one of the following: 1: Pay for damages 2: A letter through every letter box in the street where it happened with his name and address. 3: Confinement to the halls, as he wouldn't be safe going out in this town again (i was in the uni rugby 1st team and my mates were very big and very ugly )In the end he decided to pay up, I was a little disapointed, as I thought the other two options were much more imaginitive. ![]() |

Offline | jamesstyler I think that is brilliant. We shouldn't have to do things like that, but with the judicial system the way it is, these idiots know there is no legal consequences for their actions. Should be an automatic 5 year sentence for damaging a mini! ![]() ![]() |

Offline | Sorry to hear your story Redwytch. The lack of respect some people show for other peoples property really winds me up. If there is a positive here it is that the damage was confined to a broken window, could have been a lot more expensive if this idiot had taken it out on your bodywork. By the way nice to see you back on M2, shame about the circumstances. ![]() MODERN MINI OSCARS 2008 - BEST COOPER NOMINEE |
