Offline | Presume this would just be out of hours cover or something?, Ive had them out 3 times with the 2 Cooper S's ive had and always had a knowledgable chap in a 5 series estate turn up, not saying that other services arent anygood but people that have more specific knowledge inspires me a little more thats all. I assume any subcontracting Mini do would have to be to a certain standard anyway. ![]() |

Offline | I popped into a dealership yesterday and they know nothing about it, they suggested I ring the emergency number on the keyring which I did which gave me another number to ring (0870 505 0195) which I believe is BMW Warranty. Press option 2 and speak to those Guys. Basically its £129.00 a year and is exactly the same cover as you get for under 3 years old. Covers the car not the person driving it, Mini (kind of) technicians during day time and out of hours garage other times. They will fix or drag you in to a garage, covers home start as well.... both UK and Europe. Nothing online but can pay through that phone line. Guy is sending the paperwork through to me, I'll add any other detail up when I get it | MINIaddiction | | For MIDLANDS Folk in their MINI's | |

Offline | Nice one wibbs ....havent had the chance this week, you'd think they would advertise it a little more wouldnt you, just booked mine in for its first MOT next month (done it a little early so if there are any warranty items, they can be fixed for free before it runs out, was told they will give 1 months grace anyway for warranty items)![]() |

Offline | Does everyone get MINI Emergency services with a new Mini? My old RAC cover is up for renewal & I bought the Mini second hand but wasn't aware of any road side assistance that came with it from Mini, so does it come with a new Mini & is it transferred to new owners i.e. if the car is bought second hand privatley? |

| Home Alone | All new MINIs come with 3 years MINI Emergency Service, which stays with the car no matter how many times it changes owner. Similarly, all Cherished MINIs bought from a MINI dealer come with at least 12 months (or the balance of the 3 years from new if this is longer) regardless of the age of the car. |

Offline | Thanks scrogg, is there anywhere that detials what is covered in Mini service i.e. do they do coverage from home? I know that some breakdown cover is more expensive for home breakdowns. Also if you do call up and use the service do you then pay a charge? |

Offline | i just took out a years cover with MES (Mini emerg...), on my 03 plate OneD. Last year, its first year out of service I used Halfords - never needed it. But this year my missus will be doing a lot of miles on her own, up north, so i spent the extra on Mini. The service is superb, and it is pan euro - ill be going to Mini United and at some point redoing the Mini2Millau run, albeiat not to Millau this time. My first chice would have been ADAC. |

Offline | I have it on my 53 (2003) MCS, I bought it cherished from Sytner in Leicester and MES is part of the deal. I haven't had to use it yet (touch wood!) but if I do I'll give some feedback! I also have green flag which I get free with my bank, they always sub-contract work out to a local garage, I wouldn't be too happy about it except that the garage is 2 minutes from my house so they were always here quick with the Jeep (which needed them frequently!) |
