Offline | MINI Emergency services Has anyone got a MINI over 3yrs old and taken this out? How does it compare to the same level of cover to the AA and RAC? This is all i can find on the internet about it... MINI Emergency Service This gives you 24 hour assistance for motoring emergencies throughout the UK and continental Europe. It's unlikely that your Cherished MINI will break down, but if it does, we'll look after you, your passengers and your car. MINI Emergency Service to the rescue! Any issues you experience whilst travelling abroad with your MINI, even if you encounter a legal or medical problem, the MINI Emergency Service multilingual team will be able to provide you with practical advice. If you fall ill and you've got to be back in the UK, but you're the only driver, we'll sort it. We'll even make sure your MINI, passengers and all your gear get back safely too. sorry if this has already been posted before but i just want to know if the cover is the same as what you get free when your MINI is under 3yrs old? as i think to buy this cover is 120 pounds. |

Offline | It deffinately looks good. When I had my crash and my car was wrote off in november (altho it was in a 2 day old R56 Cooper) Mini emergency service were fantastic and were at the crash scene within 15minutes. If it is the same as the policy you get at new its well worth it. |

| Rhymes with depravity | Hey Vikki! I think it is. I know you get another year of the same Emergency Service when you buy a year's warranty and I think I remember being told that just buying a year's Emergency Service was the same as the standard one. I broke down on Thursday morning (at about 7:30) and MINI Emergency Service called me back ten minutes after I called them to confirm that a technician would be with me within an hour. He turned up at about 8:20. Interestingly enough there was a lady parked behind me who had also broken down and had called the RAC out at roughly the same time I called MINI.. The RAC turned up about an hour after the MINI guy did. I think it's probably worth getting, there have been a few posts here about good Emergency Service experiences... Gemma xx |

| Rhymes with depravity | I think they do do a Home Start type thing too - it's essentially the same as BMW emergency service, and my Dad's had them out to his flat to sort out his X5 before - someone on the forum also posted about having their MINI sorted on their drive, so I'd expect so. Might be worth asking at the dealership anyway ![]() |

![]() Oh good grief! | Dont't bank on a quick rescue if using MINI assisstance in Europe. Whilst we we're on this years Italian Job one of the new mini's broke down and when they called mini assistance they we're told it would be three days before they got there. This was due to the fact that MINI assistance in Italy dont go out on Saturdays, Sundays or Bank Hoilday Mondays! So whatever cover you choose check when and where you're covered. ![]() |

| MINI2 Regular | I have my insurance with MINI and even though my car is out of warranty i'm still covered by MINI emergency service through my insurance. After I had an accident they arranged recovery and dealt with the bodyshop too. My car was at the local BMW bodyshop and I was home with an hour. I'm not changing my insurance any time soon. |

| The ruff puppy & MINI | I was in deepest, darkest Cornwall last winter, it would be about 2am and MINI had a blowout. Obviously, not carrying a spare, I had no choice but to give MINI emergency services a call. After a conversation that went along the lines of, "Where are you?"... "uhm... cornwall." ..."What landmarks are nearby?"... "...sheep?", the rescue guy came about 20 minutes later. Fantastic service, the original guy I called phoned me throughout (Probably five or six calls in total), and a final call to check I got home safely the next day. I really don't think I would have the same level of care from the AA or RAC. |

Offline | Wouldnt mind finding more out about this myself my Mini is 3 in a few months, ive called Mini Emergency services in the passed and found them to be pretty good, but back to the main point ....is £120 the cost per year after the 3years is up and is it the same as the cover you get for the first 3 years? I know the others are reputable, but id rather have somebody that knows the Minis as opposed to Cavaliers and Focus's if you know what I mean ![]() ![]() |

Offline | Hmmmmm MINI emergency sub contract to Ontime in Kent, they are just a breakdown service like any other and have no specific knowledge about MINIs over any other vehicle, I suspect this is the same all around the country. How expensive would it be to have MINI specialists on standby around the country 24/7? Too expensive. MB www.kaesminiclub.com - For runs and meets all over Kent and East Sussex! |
