Offline | ::::Mini2 World-Wide Contacts:::: I would like to ask every Mini2 member who can help, to help. Here's the idea.... With Mini2 being a world wide website I thought it would be a good idea to have at least one contact within a Country/State/County you maybe visiting for the first time. Here's how it will work, advice can be given upon request from another member so you don't have to write reams and reams of information about somewhere only if requested. Advice can be given on Hotels/Restaurants/Places of interest, anything really you would advise someone who has never before to visit or do. I write this thread after visiting Sydney in Australia and contacting some of the guys from over there. I found their knowledge and help extremely usefull and provided me with a sound base knowledge of somewhere I had never visited before. While in Australia the guys who I contacted set up 2 mini runs on my behalf, this was excellent for me because I discovered places way off the tourist trails. I'm sure most people on this site are as accommodating as the Ozzy's in Sydney and would take the time to show you round wherever you where, I know I would. ![]() Runs up and down the country need your help, from Scotland to Brighton, where to stay etc etc... All I ask is for you to write out your replying Post like this Contact Name: Rams Method of Contact: Email or PM Place of Residence: Leeds, West Yorkshire, England Knowledge of Area(s): North & West Yorkshire, England I will start by offering advice on North and West Yorkshire so if anybody would like to contact me in the future please PM or email me Many thanks for help me with this ![]() Rams Last edited by Mini-Trainer : Jan 24th, 2007 at 02:47 PM. |

| Awwww %%%% it! | Soz Rams - the sentiment is great and without a doubt the community here is fantastic for gaining local knowledge, but a thread where people just post their locations is not really helpful especially as this already exists on a persons profile. If everyone posted in this thread you'd have over 40,000 posts and a nightmare to trawl through You may also find someone has posted who no longer frequents the forum so may not eish to then be getting requests for information. I know if I'm visiting an area I'd like more information about then I just post in the relevant regional forum and then people can reply as and when they are able. It's what regional forums are for - regional information and events, best not re-inevent the wheel mate ![]() |
