Poor me.......another 8 weeks to wait

I'm writing this because I am in need of sympathy.

Stupid dealer messed up and although the car arrived the spec was wrong. It didn't have sports suspension which I had ordered. The sales person hadn't updated the spec correctly.

And now I have to start all over again and wait another 8 weeks. There doesn't seem to be any way to fast track a replacement...............I'll go crazy waiting until March so I hope the sports suspension is worth the wait..............

my dealer is similarly useless (rydale cardiff) they told me the alloy dash came as part of chilli pack and lsd was standard! luckily i checked so I have sorted it all out in time.

At least 07 reg should retain its value better than 56 reg (possibly by up to £500)

you could also consider limited slip diff if build week is from week1 march onwards.

Has your dealer not even looked into the possibility of retro-fitting it? Surely it can't be that difficult to do?

O.K, so it will be more expensive (for them, not you, it's their mistake) but cheaper than having to pay for a car that could sit in their showroom for ages?

Thanks, I'll look into the lsd. And no they haven't mentioned a retro fit. A more cynical person might think they will put the car in storage and then sell it to me later as I don't know how you would know if it had the sports suspension or not before you sign for it and drive off!!

I'm thinking that if I do re-order from them I'll change the colour just to be sure!

They will honour the trade in offer on my Cooper, but they haven't even offered a good will gesture for all the hassle. So unlikley I'll stick with them. Just need to get my depsoit back and move on.

Forgot to add about my bad day.............think my naughty Cooper got me a speeding ticket on the way to the dealer to sort it out.
