MCS rear ended

Yestrday morning some S$(T drove into the back of me when i was stopped at a junction. When he hit me i thought man there is going to be nothing left of the back of my baby as it seemed like he was going at some speed and the noise/force when we hit was big. I was VERY suprised how well the MCS stud up to it looks minor some marks etc but not that bad still getting it checkout by the insurance, my question is there seems to now be a very minor curve (only about 5mm) about half way up the bumber and i want to know if this is normal on the MCS or it should be smoth?
i want to know if i need a new bumper or not.

Cheers

Sorry to hear about this. Something similar happened to me in December. I started a thread about it here. The damage to my bumper was quite substantial and consequently my MINI required a new one.

I hope you get it sorted soon.

Sorry to hear about this! Glad you're okay.

The back end of the MINIs are pretty strong... but the crease you describe isn't normal. I suspect you'll need a new bumper and mountings. Luckily they're easy to replace, and it will be on the other persons insurance.

Sorry to hear this Wilo. Easiest way would be to call in at a local dealer (or meet up with a local M2er) and compare two cars. Really you should get your local dealer to give it a once over to check the underside etc. I hope it's ok and that we see you at another pub meet soon.
