Offline | Questions Hi All, Just a few questions - hopefully you can help me out - the folder I carefully put all my MINI and general car documents in has yet to surface after a house move...... My MC is coming up to 3 years old and I was wondering...... - When does the 3 year warranty run out? My car was at the dealers by mid May 2004 but due to ' software problems' I didn't actually pick her up until mid June - does the clock start ticking when you actually pickit up/sign for it or from when it leaves the factory? - Is the TLC for 3 years or 5? The '1st oil service' is a few thousand miles away and I wondered if this is covered by the TLC or if £££ is required? - Doe the MINI recovery last for 3 years or 5? If 3, is it possible to'join' for further years? - I've seen previous posts suggesting it's a good idea to get the MOT done before the warranty runs out and maybe getting any problems sorted 'free'- anyone had any problems with getting this done at a dealer or are they wise to it? Can they legitimately refuse to do an MOT on a car less than 3 years old? Cheers! |

Offline | Hello! The warranty runs for three years from the date you colect and sign for the car. You can purchase an extended warranty from MINI up till the day your warranty runs out. The TLC lasts for 5 years/50,000 miles, and includes two oil services, inspection 1, and a brake fluid change after 2 years. MINI recovery lasts for the same period as your warranty, not sure about extending it! MOTs can be carried out before the car reaches 3 years old. Book it in advance, there is no reason why the dealer should refuse this. Hope that helps! ![]() |
