| Grinny's the Mini 4 me! | How much is my mini worth?? Hello all, 'THE MIGHTY IMP' here... As you may or may not know, i was one of the original Stelvio or Bust guys, and i drove my beloved Mini on this epic adventure... I have now done 97,000 fun filled miles from brand new (as i am the one and only owner) and as i have a 18 month baby girl, and another one on the way, I am gonna sell 'Grinny the Mini' and buy some kind of people carrier.. my October 2001Cooper was £14,000 when i bought it, which was about £11,000 basic plus £3000 of extras... these include the Chilli pack, panoramic sunroof, Indi blue metallic paint, ASC and DSC, sports suspension, air con, Bass boost stereo with 6 cd auto changer, Bullet style alloys, semi leather interior, and prob a few other things.. E-bay suggests about £8,000 would be okay for a lesser specced model... Can anyone dig out their Auto trader or Glass's guide and let me know roughly what Grinny is worth at the moment? I would be eternally grateful! All the best, Ian, Michelle, Hannah and bump! Ian M Grinny the mini - Trippin the light fantastic! |

Offline | hi! I've got an indi blue cooper - early 2003. I've just bought it and it's fully specced - no sunroof, but aircon, and no cd changer. Full service history with TLC XL and it's done 65000 mile with 17" cooper s alloys. I bought it for £6500. Hope this gives you a little indication - either that or I got a bargain!!! LOL Rache ![]() |

Offline | Hi Ian, Long time no see!! Hope life is treating you well!! Congratulations on the new new arrival too ![]() The only car I found online similar is this one but then yours has a few more miles but a MUCH better spec... so £8k won't be far off. Best wishes to you, and say hello to Michelle for me! ![]() Jon ![]() |

Offline | hi ian! hope all is well, congrats on the new little one ![]() sure you wont want to here this but firstly you should not sell. Secondly I dont believe it will be worth more than around 6k due to the miles and being one of the first. I really hope it is but when 52-plate MCS with 30k are changing hands for 9k a 51-plate cooper with 97k and no matter how much heritage or condition would surely struggle to reach 6k. Look at most 51-reg cars with than mileage! I have forsale a 130k mazda that cost more than yours is a year newer and worth 2.5k! Even 6k isnt a bad return. Thats minis for ya ![]() Hope you get more and see you soon ![]() ![]() |

| Grinny's the Mini 4 me! | Awww.. Mini laura! Your car was totally unique.. copied ever since with your own offset stripe design.. didn't your fella do the stripes for you? anyway.. I'm gonna sell, One 18 month old beautiful daughter (who will be two when the next one arrives) and another on the way make me feel the need for a 5 or 7 seater.. probably buy a Kia Carens, as you get money off for bring pregnant!.. I've had my fun, and now i need to get a bigger (and more relaible) car! (i'm on my 4th gearbox!!!) Sorry i rarely visit.. the mini runs are a bit of a no-no with a baby in the back... I must arrange the legendary Piddle-puddle for the summer again... Memories!! thanks everyone else for the input, I'll let you know what the e-bay world pays for my car (number plate not included!!!) ![]() Ian M Grinny the mini - Trippin the light fantastic! |
