Response from my Co- Workers on my new MIni

What can I say... the first thing my co workers said, OMG BABYBLUE > Hairdressers Car!!!

We all know this not to be true, its Electric blue, not baby blue.. How can I respond to such accusations, now I have another person who works here and he drives an MGF, and he gets it 2x as bad..

What do I say?

Just park next to the MGF and hope it passes?

Just roll with it. I have an Electric Blue MCS too and I get some stick at times. I went to go see a couple of friends at a local cruise, but was running late due ot watchin Top Gear. When I turned up someone shouted, "What time do you call this? Did you have a haircut to do?" I shoulted back, "No, I had to ask my mum if I could borrow her car!"

Usualy people only have four insults, gay car/colour, girly car/colour, hairdressers car, mums car.

Can also take them for a ride. That usualy makes anyone shut up about it.

According to my workmates i went from having a 'hairdressers' Audi TT to a 'gay' MINI They'll get bored when they see you're not bothered. Not everyone was born with our good taste in cars

Talking

We've just bought a mini, also got an mx5!

You can imagine the stick I get..

To be honest it doesn't matter what car you buy - if I turned up in a Aston Matin I'm sure it'd be "an old guys car" or summat - my mate has a brand new Porsche Boxster S, but he just got stick off our mates like - "It's a poor man's Porsche". Funny that about the best car anyone of these wits drives is a Citroen C2!

Always give as good as I get - it's all the fun of being a guy. Just look at their car and find something - there is ALWAYS something to touch a nerve: My bro has a Focus ST - Chav mobile, my boss (the worst offender for taking the p) has a VW Touran - daddy waggon, end of his years etc.....

....or you could just let their tyres down.......

(only joking)

Try driving a Liquid Yellow MINI.

Thankfully mine is Liquid Yellow and Black, and once people see the front of it with the bonnet stripes they think it's quite sporty and less of a gay/girly car.

Dont listen to them or anyone else who gives you stick. MINIs are great and if you like your electric blue MINI then thats up to you

What I have found is that some other men do call MINI's and at the same time call me. Just the usual insults; hair dressers car, gay, etc etc. BUT what I have found is that it gets you a lot of attention from women Always a bonus!

Whatever car you get, you will always get stick. As said above, just give as good as you get Or just "Not Care"

I would say that this usually comes from people with small manhood or who actually think they know a thing or two about cars but dont or think that a Subaru Impreza is a mans car as they need something like this to show that they are a real man pmsl, probably the same type of guys that say they dont use moisturiser etc etc etc or that its for girls.

i'd just say, "yeah, didn't my hairdresser pick out a fab car for me to drive?"

who honestly cares what people think. i like my MINI and that's all that *really* matters to me.

if i cared what people think, i'd have to drive a Ford Explorer or Excursion or Epedition in my city ...

Say,

"There are two types of people who say that, those that need a d**k extension, and those that cant afford a new Mini!"

What my dealer told a mate.

My other half gets tons of stick about his car and nobody says a word when he takes the MINI to work though.
He tells everyone that he drives a mid engined, two seater, Merceders convertable. He does, technically. He has a Smart Cabriolet.
He's 6' odd and looks like his usual massive biker self, most folks dont comment when he gets out of his smartie.

In my experience, people who make those comments don't know anything about cars and just drive a really boring car like a fiesta or peugeot 206. I think the best thing is to rip it out of their rubbish cars!

my brother drives an evo 8 fq300, which is very fast, but I make fun of it for being a chav car! (he hasn't even dissed my mini, so probably a bit harsh!)

I get stick at my work - I laugh, as this is coming from people who drive VW Golfs, and/or knackered 3 series...

Haha.
