| MINI2 Regular | Hey all! Just to start, may I say that I am not trying to take anything away from MINI2, its a fantastic forum! However, if you are at university (or maybe not) and you are a member of Facebook (if you are at uni, you will have at least heard of it) then please join the new MINI2 group (named after this beautiful site!) so we can all find out which Unis have MINIs and who all the owners are! NB: As far as I can find out, Facebook is non-profitable (and I don't think MINI2 admins will mind me mentioning another site on here!) so it won't damage MINI2 use. Also, admins, should I put a copyright / trademark notice on the group homepage? Just don't want to offend anybody! Thanks, Paul Last edited by PaulusMaximus : Mar 7th, 2007 at 01:47 PM. Reason: Didn't thank anybody for reading. Shock horror! |

Offline | MINIs at University? Dreadful. What happend to riding a bike or do Lord and Lady Ponsonby-Smythe (or Mum and Dad as you call them) not agree!!!! (I am, of course, only kidding!) I have spent 10 years as a Uni lecturer and remember feeling moderately gutted when the students started driving better cars than the faculty! |

| MINI2 Regular | Lol! Yes, students get it rather easy these days. I have a friend that drives an E-reg 911. It's incredible as we are all meant to be poor. Most MINI students I know had the fortune to get a MINI before they went to uni, although presumably a 17/18yr old should be even worse off? Actually the old Mini is still considered the proper students car - after four and a half years I still get stick for it! Paul |

Offline | Man - I can't help myself.......here goes....... I was up in court last week for ABH, Actual Bodily Harm, not grievous, I'm not an animal I conducted my own defence and I said... Ladies and gentlemen of the jury, I am not on trial here today, society is on trial. Oh **** it, I'm on trial, aren't I? But I'm not in contention with the prosecution's version of events. On that we agree. There was a student, he was acting up, he got a slap. But I was under severe provocation. There I was, having a quiet pint, when a student walked past and nudged me, causing me to spill a bit. I did what any fine, upstanding citizen would do. I followed him to the toilet and kicked his head in. Perhaps I should have stopped kicking him when he was in the ambulance. But I did what I did because I want to live in a world where we can have a pint without fear of being nudged by a student. I that a crime? Is it a crime to want to live in a world of peace and harmony? Is it a crime to live in a world of love? Is it a crime to hit a student across the back of the head with a snooker ball in a sock?" That's where the defence's case collapsed. Banged Up!!! Sorry - feel much better now! |

| MINI2 Regular | Very nice! Hmmn I prefer facebook to all the others because it has a more professional feel to it and the way it works around networks makes it more personal than the others. Good to see you all joining up, any more takers? Paul Student desperately finding a way to afford an R56. Donations to... |
