Yes, I demonstrated this when I did the Round Great Britain run a few years ago. I promptly screwed the alarm up because I'd hit the lock button so many times and it took me 5 minutes to get back in my car. Oops

Ok, have you ever tried to see how far away your remote central locking works from? Do it, and see how far away you need to be for it to be out of range. Now, while still out of range, put your keys to your temple and try again and it will work! It's very bizzare!

Also works if you hold your key in your right hand and aim the metal part of your key into your left palm, close all fingers, but point at your car with your left index finger. You don't look like so much of a prat as you do using the temple method.

This however is best done whilst wearing a Morris Dancing outfit and standing on one leg

In the Clifford manual it actually recommends that if the battery is low on your remote and you can't disarm the car, to hold the remote to your chin to boost the signal.

Basically uses your skull as a big aerial!

Has anyone heard that you can also unlock your car when out of range using mobile phones. You stand out of range and call your friend standing next to your car, you point your key at your phone and press unlock while they point their phone at your car and it should work. I haven't been able to try this yet.

This shouldn't work as the mobile cannot pick up and transmit the frequencies that a remote uses. I would suspect this is a hoax.
