I was at Sytner BMW a couple of weeks ago and it was advertised at £52! I took our Peugeot 206 to Research Peugeot in Hinckley and it was £35!!!

A Mini dealer sent me a mail saying the MOT was due & to ring them to book it in. I booked it in as I thought it would be good to keep the service history etc all Mini. This is despite the fact I could get it done half their price by any of our local MOT centres within 200 metres who I know well.
Imagine my horror having taken the car to the dealer for it to be done I had a phone call from a concerned customer that my car was parked on waste ground near a backstreet garage nowhere near the dealer - he was concerned it might have been stolen.
I turns out the dealer outsources mot work then puts their profit on top

Both Williams and Halliwell Jones do MOT's for £50 (or at least they did in December).

Most garages with the new electronic kit for MOT's charge a similar price up here.
