Not Allowed to Change Your Oil?

If you live in an apartment or condo, and the rules say you can't do an oil change, try one of these!

but what about the filter change. That's as or more important than the oil

That's when you have to get sneaky! But if you're caught with your arm under the car, and no trace of an oil change around, you can make anything up!

This is one aspect of condo living that I absolutely dislike. Unfortunately, I happen to live in a condo whose association board members are all anti-car twits. Washing, or any sort of car related activities, are not allowed in the open garage area. This is one reason I wanted to become a board member of the condo, but I just don't have the time or energy to pursue putting some sense into this people.

Fortunately my mother and my in-laws both have houses with driveways, so any washing et al is done in their driveways.

That is actually been around for a while. When I was stationed here in Germany back in the 80's we used to go to the local Esso and "pump" the oil out of the car, swap the filter and fill her back up.

I never liked living in apartment complexes because of these rules....
