| MINI2 Senior | for those who ordered for late 2002, or haven't ordered yet........ I was just curious as to whether or not there were alot of people who were interested in the rain sensing wipers/dimming rear view mirror....... I ask because i'm considering the option on my mini, being that I will have a production date prior to the date the wipers/mirror is released(12/02 i believe?) Let me know what you think! |

Offline | My '79 GMC came with rain sensing wipers and auto dimming mirrors. It was called a DRIVER. The driver would sense rain and turn on the wipers; the driver would see headlight glare in his rearview and flip that little lever.Stuff like that is fluff, IMO, and takes away from the driving experience. What'll be next? Transmissions that shift themselves? A/C that maintains temp automatically? Oh wait, nevermind... Ditch the Luudite ![]() |

Offline | Other posted opinion I would really like to be able to order the dimming mirror seperate from the automatic wipers. I currently have the dimming mirrors on my Audi A4 and find them very nice. A safety divice actually. It prevents being blinded by the bozos in their SUV's when they run up on your tail, or just plain forget to dim because they are too busy talking on their cell phones. ![]() Motor on, Dudes and Dudettes!!! Offline | I'm with Ditch. These are features that don't really add to the driving experience, and are potential irritants if they go wrong. Get an '02 and be happy you won't have to wait another month for delivery. |

Offline | don't want em I really don't like either of these options. I'm sensitive to the wipers and want to control them myself. And the same for the auto-dimming RV mirror - I want to see that jerk glaring me with his headlight so I know exactly where (and how obnoxious )he is. Then I can dim it myself if I want to.DS/W 2002 MCS, aka "Nigel" Estimated Delivery Date: 9/1 !!!!! |
