I think the guy was intent on getting the thing nicked, leaving a ready stolen radio on the dash!

I think it could of been an old skool twist and tune number

Forward or back?

I hand painted some stripes on and old 1963 mini in the seventies.
It was a light blue, I got some navy Dulux gloss from my Dad's shed and painted a stripe all the way around. Looking back it wasn't the best thing to do and I stopped short of painting flowers and wotnot on it but I felt like the 'bees knees' at the time, especially after I'd installed a 6' yellow, bendy aerial which came out of the bonnet, curved over, and then was fastened to the back.
Not exactly BMW or the way forward but great to go to the beach.

Got close to that, E reg, Red with a white roof (classic), CB aerial on the rear driver side and looped forward to the roof/windscreen seem on the driver side.
I also thought I was the bees knees.

So. my dad bought it new in 88/89 and drove it till around 94, when it was put into the garage and left, 96 it striped and rebuilt (not by me), then november 96 I passed my test and was on the road, lasted me 2 year (E505GCP), then I bought another (M293OSA).
Then company cars, and now another mini.

Love the mini`s..............but, had a shot in a lotus elise the other day, the guy had put the 2Litre R-Type engine with a supercharger in it.
It goes like ****.

I once knew a guy who painted his whole car with a brush. (a mazda RX2) He painted it the fashionable colour of Mission Brown using exterior house paint.

why?

becasue we dared him to.

I love Warsaw. Where else can you hug a pole?

Now I feel really ancient. I meant the 'E' reg as a suffix not a prefix. I've just looked it up and it was 1967. The mini I had which I painted with Dulux didn't have either a suffix or prefix.
It was 611 XYA - now that really is going back a bit.
