Offline | Re: Question for Canadian Mini Owners. Beats the heck out of me! Perhaps you should rename your thread "Question for TORONTO Mini Owners". Honestly, I think it's up to the dealer. Give them a call and ask. Or you could wait for Harry or one of the other Southern Ontarians to show up....MINI Cooper Canadian Launch Edition (#338 of 500) Pure Silver/Black, Heated Sport Seats, 16" Five Spokes, Foglights, Chrome Bumper Inserts and More! | MINI2 Master | I'm not in Toronto, I'm in Guelph, but here is my experience anyways: The only thing I've had done (replace the seat back of driver's seat as it was popping off at the top) was done during the day so I dropped it off before work, got taxi vouchers to work and back and got my car when it was done so no loaner was needed. I'm having the gearbox cable 'campaign' (no recall here apparently) done this Friday and it will be the same deal, I assume, drop it off in the morning, get a taxi ride in and back. Hopefully someone in TO will pipe up (there are a couple of dealers at least, I think). Harry MINI Cooper Cabrio: now the car with go cart handling really feels like an open go cart! Offline | Re: Question for Canadian Mini Owners. Hi Murphy, Here is my experience with MINI Markham: I had an appointment to fix the light on the sunvisor, replace the steering shaft, fix the rattles & do the car key memory programming beginning of August. Since I work in Mississauga, there is no way someone at the dealer can drop me off at a subway station and let me take the subway to work. So I had a loaner car (MC) for a few days. But I had to arrange with the dealer when I booked the appointment. So the deal is I think you can't drop off your car and ask for a loaner you have to arrange with your dealer. I dunno about the other dealers in Toronto and also I wasn't sure that loaner service only applies if you bought your car from them 'cuz I bought my car from MINI Markham. So I guess what you have to do is to ask your dealer when you book the appointment. Hope this help... Offline | Toronto does not give out a loaner! Your car actually goes into the MINI dealer and then they take it over to the Ferrari dealer close by for the service! I got my car in Oakville and thye are trying to work out a plan within their dealership for loaner cars... however when you sign the papers they do offer rentals at lower rates which shows up when you come in. Either way lets hope MInis dont have to go in for service very often Adam ***************** Cooper Launch Edition # 7/500 Chili red , white roof |

Offline | I hope they do plan to improve their services. I mean I am paying so much for the car and expect some up-to-par service. Even VW has loaner car, no offense to VW, just don't feel that pride and luxury for owing an Germany car. |

| MINI2 Regular | Well, First time I took the car in for an A/C fix, I got a 4 dr. Honda Civic as a courtesy (after having to go twice - first time I was told I could come in any time and they would get me a car - showed up, and there was nothing there. So, had to come back the next day). The second time (less than 2 weeks later) I took the car in for a back seat fix and a new hydraulic arm on the bonnet I got a Chrysler Sebring... ...interesting, the rental girl showed my service guy a BMW key and said "this one is good to go" to which he replied "no, hold on to that one for a BMW customer..." and then asked me "Would you like the Taurus or the Sebring?" ...very petty of me, I know... But I wanted the BMW! ![]() Civic/Sebring? Talk about anti-MINI's/boats. The service department at Oakville is very BMW - when I got the key programmed, I was choosing from a 3-series checklist. However, they were waiting for a "BMW customer" How petty of me. I mean, I got a free car and all... right? Shouldn't there be a seperate MINI service department? BTW - I did arrange to have a "loaner" prior to going in (made an appointment). And, aside from my petty grovelling over a loaner, their service was very good. The mechanic who worked on the car came out, explained everything to me, asked if I wanted the car washed, etc. I live in Mississauga, work in Brampton, so they couldn't drive me home or to work and transit isn't very forgiving between the municipalities. Oh well... All in all, I still say MINI Oakville is all good. J. |

| MINI2 Senior Derelict | Service Experience MINI Woodbridge? Anyone here dealing with MINI Woodbridge? What's the Service like? What was the procedure once your car came in? My Cooper S is on the Hual Triton destined to arrive in Halifax on Monday. I figure I should have my car the week of the 9th. Paul |

| MINI2 Senior Derelict | Re: Re: Service Experience MINI Woodbridge? Ya, I'm in no rush. My current car's lease doesn't expire until the 25th so as long as it comes before then I'm happy. Granted I have no problems taking my current car back a week or two early. hehe.Paul |
