Offline | Wheel Alignment Hey I'm trying to find out if wheel alignment is covered under warranty? I had an accident just under two months ago where my car was hit on the side panel, just by the wheel. I'm sure the car is pulling to that side. My car was repaired by Mini. My car has gone into the Mini garage today and I've just had a call to say that it isn't covered, and that if I have any concerns with the work that was done whilst reparing my car two months ago, to raise it with my insurance company. Any advise would be great Cheers |

![]() Obsessive Car Cleaner OCC | If the wheel alignment was out from the accident and repaired by MINI from your insurance then the car should have been returned to you in a fully repaired condition and that means the wheel alignment if this was out from the accident! If this alignment is from something that has happend after the repair then unfortunately you will have to cough up the money! Scott |

Offline | In that case, I'd phone your insurance company and say you're not happy with the quality of the repair as the car pulls to the left during normal driving. The repair itself will have a warranty, and they should arrange to have it booked in and corrected. As YMS said above though, if its happened since, then this is a 'wear and tear' repair. ![]() |

| Amiga 500 to PS3 20 Years | Surely if the car was pulling after the repair you would of returned it sooner than two months? If it's only recently become apparent then it's a wear and tear item. It could of been caused by a pot hole, dropping off a kerb, hard cornering, or even everyday driving. ![]() It was acceptable in the 80's |

Offline | Some people aren't instant complainers though, something I've learned over the last couple of years. I've had people phone three months after we repaired their unit saying something isn't quite right, at the end of the day, if they take the customer is right attitude then they'll have to have it fixed. Although, if something had gone wrong with my nearside suspension within two months of an accident damaging that side, I'd be on to the insurance company anyway. ![]() |
