Offline | I believe the visabilty pack includes (i may be wrong): Heated front screen Auto dipping rear view mirror Auto headlights Auto wipers I think the heated mirrors and washer jets is a seperate option. My car has got it but I've only had my car for a month so I've not made use of all the options yet. The auto dipping mirror is very useful though. |

Offline | Until the beginning of 2005, the Visibility Pack consisted of an auto dimming mirror, auto wipers, and a heated front screen. Auto lights were added early in 2005. Heated mirrors and washerjets have always been a separate item to the Visibility Pack, even on the R56. Hope that helps ![]() Is it any good? Well the auto dimming mirror is great - if you drive at night, you should never be without one! The heated windscreen is great if you ever park outside and get a frosty window in the winter, clears it without the need for scraping while youre sat in the car! Auto wipers are handy on the motorway as they adjust speed depending on the amount of rain or spray - one less thing to think about. To be honest, I turn the lights on myself, its no big hardship!! ![]() ![]() |

Offline | Hi I have the visability pack and heated jets/wing mirrors. Advantages are as follows. 1- The heated screen is great in icy weather and works just like a heated rear screen does, so all you need to do when iced up is to start the motor, flick the switch, wait 30 seconds and windscreen wiper away the melted ice. 2- Dimming mirror is great for those times when being followed by a car at night with bright/high head lights. 3- Auto wipers need a little getting used to, but when you do they perform a great job for intermittant work, ie they wipe the screen when it needs it and you just let them get on with the job. 4 - Auto lights are also great, after switching them on as i did 6 months ago you never need to do anything else. The best bit is the automatically turn off when taking the key out at end of journey. 5 - heated mirrors never mist up and clear quickly when wet. 6 - Heated seats are nice when its cold aswell. I bought the car 2nd hand so didnt order them, however next time round I definately would if i had the spare cash. |

Offline | To be honest I'm not speccing it this time, The heated front screen is useful, ( but i have used it more for clearing it when it gets misty first thing in the morning than for defrosting). The automatic wipers I don't generally use because on the occasions I have I always find myself turning them to manual because they don't seem to want to clean the windscreen when I want them to. The auto dimming rear view is again handy on occasions but all of these things I can easily do without. I suppose it depends on how you use or store your car. I have a garage, it's so full of stuff I'm not allowed to chuck that the car doesn't stay in there but it does sit down the side of my house where it is a little protected from the elements. In the mornings even in winter it is never to bad. 99.9% of my driving is in town and it's only a three mile trip to work and I'm not usually on the road at night very much . ![]() |

Offline | When you get into the car, you set the wiper stalk at the first position up from the normal OFF position. The sensor at the top of the windscreen measures how much water is coming into contact with the screen, and sets the wiper speed accordingly. If there is very little precipitation, the wipers may not wipe for say 2 minutes, until there is enough water on the screen to warrant a wipe. IMO they work very well, the sensitivity can be adjusted by your dealer. ![]() |

Offline | Sensor on the windscreen behind the rear view mirror that works out how much moisture is on the winscreen. Can be tricky to get it to do exactly what you want at times but there is a sensitivity dial on the stalk to adjust. Great when on motor ways when overtaking lorries in rain then it automatically flips wipers to full speed and slows them back down when past the lorry. I got used to having it on my last couple of cars so spec'd it on my MCS... and I got a lot of use out of it with living in Scotland ! |
