Does anyone know if there is an online link to the the PA D.O.T. to run searches on vanity plates? I know New York has one. I'd like to get some kind of Mini plate, but God know Penndot is incompetent enough already, I'm not going to pay fees and such to file for a name just to be told its taken already. Thanks in advance for any help/advice you guys may have!

To the best of my knowledge - no.

When I ordered my plate last fall (put it on my pickup truck until the Cooper came in) I went to AAA - they can logon and check availability while you wait. As an AAA member, I was able to reserve / order what I wanted at their office.

What are your thoughts about a plate for silk green/white mini. I don't think I'll get a vanity plate, but have thought of one of the specialty plates. I like the tiger plate best, but don't think it will go well with silk green. Must I go with the conservation plate, with the little otter guy?

Hey SD, I see that your plate is 8 characters, including the space. I thought it had to be 7 or less including spaces, but I guess I was wrong? That would expand the choices a lot. And thanks for the tip, I am a AAA member, so I will be heading down there with a list of plate candidates!

Smile4 - I'm in the west end of the City. Work in the Ephrata area - so spend a lot of time on 222 between 30 and Brownstown - although I do frequently take the scenic route(s) to and from the office. Haven't had occasion to get to the West Shore (and beyond) lately.

["BRidGet" is locked safely in garage when not motoring.]

Would definitely be interested in an eastern PA group. Lot's of Don Rosen MINI owners in the area. I just met three others from Lancaster last weekend at a car show.

I just checked the PennDOT website - 7 letters/numbers and 1 space or hyphen. (See link to pdf form)

I'm getting a DS/B S (if it ever gets out of the @^&#$ VDC). I'm planning on one of the black "DARE" plates or a vanity plate with T1H5 0N (hint:read it backwards)

I too would be interested in an Eastern PA group. One of my doctors has a new S model and told me ther was a Lancaster Mini group be formed. My Mini is coming from Towson any day now.

Smile4 - used to run 283 all the time when I had clients up in Perry County - but not lately!

Although ... I will be on 283 tomorrow AM (from Lancaster to 743) - have to deliver something in Etown.

Many (any?) MINIs in the West Shore/Mburg/Carlisle area yet??

I saw a red/white cooper on my road, Lisburn (@ Williams Grove Road) a couple of weeks ago, but I was in a hurry and didn't have time to chase them down!

To tell you the truth, I'm terrified of being one of the 1st in the area! I'm afraid of potential jealousy vandalism and, even a little nervous of the attention I could get. I'm a worrier though.

I don't have a garage to hide MINI, so I imagine myself being up all night listening for danger! I wonder how the dog would feel about spending nights in the new car?!!

Mini of Towson says Tuesday is the day. It is supposedly on truck to the dealer. So everything looks good for going to the Glen.
