Offline | Wife is invloved... help! My wife has never been really excited about my decision about buying a Mini. After about two months, I think I have started getting her excited about it's arrival. What have I done?!? She thinks my color choice is not the best and she actually has got me thinking about changing it. I was originally going to get an EB/W with white bonnet stripes which I still like, but she like Indi Blue, white 17" wheels, white bonnet stripes, and a Union Jack roof decal. What do you all think? Does anyone have a picture of the above IB combo? Maybe without the white wheels? -suvssuk |

I wish I could find one with a union jack on the roof. I am a little concerned that the blue on the flag would not match well with the IB.... of course I could have the union jack custom painted on the roof..$$$ -suvssuk |

Offline | suvssuk- Could be a lot worst. I had a friend who got married, wife made him sell his barely 1yr old Harley because, "She didn't like the 'image' associated with them." (translated to - I hate your friends) and we have not seen hide or hair of him in just about, oh I'd say, 6 yrs. Consider yourself lucky. Very lucky. |

Offline | No doubt I'm lucky. And I am truely glad she is getting "into" the MINI. I suspect she will really enjoy the car. I am beginning to buy into her suggestions... except for the white wheels. -suvssuk |

Offline | Suvssuk, I think I prefer the choice of your wife... except for the white wheels. Tell her white wheels are a devil to keep clean. Get her the IB/W, white bonnet stripes and Union Jack on the roof. You will have her on your side 100%. The downside is of course that she may love the car so much, you won't get a chance to drive it enough!!! ![]() 2005 Mercedes Benz C55 AMG 2006 BMW Z4 M-Coupe - Premium Pkg. 2007 Honda Fit - Sports Pkg. 2005 V-Star 1100 Custom 2007 Honda 250 Reflex |

Offline | It doesn't really matter what colour wheels you get, they're all hard to keep clean. Unless, of course, you get brake dust coloured wheels! Go for white - it looks great with IB/W! ![]() MINI Cooper Canadian Launch Edition (#338 of 500) Pure Silver/Black, Heated Sport Seats, 16" Five Spokes, Foglights, Chrome Bumper Inserts and More! Offline | Re: Suvssuk, I think I prefer the choice of your wife... I had your problem, now you have mine. Julia really wondered if I should be buying the proverbial "clown car". The idea grew on her, but it couldn't be "clown car red". Then she drove the car and color doesn't matter. Now I'm afraid she's going to prying some fingers. Fortunately, we both agree with your wife on color, IB/white including the wheels. It sounds like we need to arrange for our wives to get driving privledges in return for cleaning the wheels!!!! As for stripes and roof decals, I'll start with the clear bra and MINI roof rack. I'm leaning towards translucent Rogue stripes and no roof decal. No matter what, these are going to be some fun cars (if we get to drive them )-brad ![]() Indi Blue MCS, Born Sep-13 Sport, Premium, Roof Rack |
