Beep and Wave!

Is it just me or do other people sense MINI rivalry attitude?

I haven't got my MINI anymore but when I was in it I always used to take notice of other MINI's and the driver and try and make an effort to smile and always let them in when traffic's bad or on the motorway. But most the time I wouldn't get a thanks and instead of a friendly smile back I would get a snotty look! It was mostly from girls, especially the girls at uni and those who live in my area! I mean what's wrong with a bit of friendly MINI greeting!! I'm not implying that all girls who have MINI's are snotty cos i'm sure all the girls on here are friendly MINI drivers... but am i the only unlucky one who gets to see snotty rich girls? where are the nice MINI drivers?

The friendliest encounter with another MINI driver was on my way home from uni one day! there was no traffic at all and there was a pepper white cooper behind me and once we hit the motorway we floored it and it was amazing. it was like a one on one friendly race! obviously if there was cops on the motorway we wud have got banned but out of the two years that I had MINI that was my friendliest MINI moment!

My bf had a land rover defender and we did a test! I made him beep at other landies and wave at the driver! and it was so cool cos they wud beep and wave back!!

I think MINI drivers should beep and wave' at each other, it'll brighten up your day! anyone agree?

R56 drivers seem a bit snobby to me. Prob because they dont have the same feeling as the R50-R53 and they think they are driving BMWs!

Not round here they are all miserable grumps, think i've only had about 3 waves out of countless times i've waved at people, still good fun seeing their puzzeled faces as i go pass.

It wudnt hurt if people were a little bit more cheerful!

I feel happy for people who drives a nice car like me. I really dont understand the snottiness!

I have an X3 now and i was stopped next to another X3 at the lights, and the guy looked like a businessman. and i was on my way to uni and i was in my hoodie etc (lookin like a typical student that just rolled out of bed)... the guy gave me a look of disgrace! unless he's not a morning person!

there are lots of R53 MCS and 3 series floating around. If i flash at them all I think I will definately get some unfriendly looks! haha.

There are tons fo grumpys around here too, and a lot of snooty rich girl as well. The only person that ever waves at me is a guy in a classic mini, all the rest ignore me and I have actually noticed some that look the other way as though they cant bare to be waved at.

I have only had my MCS for a couple of months and have also yet to get a wave. I miss that comming from the jeep wrangler community where i'd say 90% of wrangler owners wave back!
