Offline | Ooooooh, it burns me up. This am, my wife paged me that her left front tire was flat. I replaced it with a donut spare, and put some air in it to find that there was a very clean slice in the sidewall, hissing. Probably done in the early am just before she left for work as she got to work before the car started pulling to one side. When I walked home from work (same workplace as my wife) at lunchtime, I found my MINI had its rear left tire sliced in the sidewall, and a neighbor two doors up had his rear left tire sliced as well. Reported to the police, and they took my statement, ... apparently nothing else they can do. I do have a relacement wheel/tire in the basement for my wife's car (lucky it's already mounted for placement on the left - directional tire), but I'll have to get a pair for my MINI. I guess it's time to replace the Bridgestone S-03's that have done spring/summer/fall duty since 2003 (205/50/16). Will go with Dunlop SP Sport Maxx as they're lighter, cheaper, still available, and close in performance. The Goodyear F1 GSD3's are probably a little better, but I just don't care for the tread pattern, and the Dunlops have a $50 rebate for a set of 4 this month, and I was going to replace the Bridgestones next spring anyway. Just doesn't make you feel safe when this sh*t happens right in front of your house. ![]() ![]() |

Offline | Know what you mean dude. Without sounding like a complete ass, our family have 3 cars, all of which are new-ish cars, we live on a council esate and on our road, they are the newest cars on the street. Both myself and my owne 2005 Minis, she owns a Black Cooper and I own an Electric Blue ONE Before hand I owned an old 01 X plate Daewoo Lanos and she used to own an MGTF. On many occasions, they were keyed etc, and generally mis-treated by the shoddy characters.. My dad on the other hand owns a 2007 BMW 120 M, we constantly keep that in the garden, because before hand his last company car was a Nissan Navara Outlaw on an 04 plate, that was keyed and also had the tyres slashed with a blade 4 or 5 times. We so cant wait to move ![]() |

Offline | Thanks all. Should get a new set of tires via TireRack tomorrow or Monday, and then I'll get 2 mounted on the rear of dear Bliksem. Will probably wait until spring to mount the other two, when the winter tires come off, as there's another season left in the summer Bridgestones that weren't sliced.. |

Offline | Sorry to hear that mate. The police are not that interested in the UK either. I wonder if they would be able to do more if it was their car that was vandalised. Chin up. ![]() |
