Well traded in my 2006 MINI Cooper today for a lovely R53 Cooper S. R56 were nice, but didn’t want to spend that much, so bought a slightly older fully specced R53 S for a great price.
Its a great car, i definitely have no regrets about losing the Cooper as the S is great to drive. Been out all day driving around and had a grin the whole time! Supercharger is great and i am not driving it hard, so returning around 30 MPG.
The last owner traded it in for a BMW, and the dealership only had it for 2 days and i put a deposit on it
For some strange reason the S don’t rattle, the 06 Cooper I had would non-stop rattle and felt very loose on the roads. The opposite for the S! Seems like look of the draw really. I feel much happier in the S than I did in the Cooper!
I would recommend anyone thinking of changing to the R53 S, to do it
