Mini basics?

Is there a place that gives the basic info on the various Mini classifications and terms? R50, R52, R53, first generation, 2nd generation, chilli pack etc. There is a bunch of basic terminology that I need to learn. Is there a glossary for this info? I honestly don't know what I have I guess. A 2004 Mini. What seems to be somewhat odd is that it is all blue with two white racing stripes. Most Mini's I'm seeing have a white or black top or are all one color with no racing stripes. I have yet to see my color /stripe combo in pics on the internet or on the road.

This should be a good basic starting point: What are first generation, second generation, r53, r56 etc?

The fact that you don't have a black or white roof isn't a problem, a body colour roof would have been an option.
