youll probably find that 90% of loan/hire cars have no smoking signs in anyway!

hire car company

Hi there

I work for one of the major hire car companies and we have always had a no smoking rule in place .... although there are always the ones who seem to flaut the rule.......

thanks clare. I appreciate that voluntary bans may have been in place for some time, but does your company now have to follow the law and not just your own policies - eg could they expect to be fined? (not the case if it's just voluntary).

hi,

we wouldnt be fined if a customer was caught in a car ..... however if we do not have no smoking signs displayed then we are liable for a 500 fine!!!!!

Just over fill the hire car with oil and then you can smoke as much as you like.
