Offline | What do owners want? I am talking with various manufacturers about new products in development for both the new and previous cars , they are bringing out items that THEY think will be popular or useful, and likewise I am suggesting items that I think will be useful or popular, The question is what do YOU wish for , wide arches ? chin spoilers? bonnet vents?carbon parts? seat covers?,first aid kits? maintenance items? towbars?bike racks? There will always be additions to products that are available, but is it what the owners want?, tuning items will always be of interest to the few that want to go down that road but what of the other areas? In 2 weeks, angel eyes headlights will be available ,I suspect these will be popular with the non xenon option cars, but what else would owners want ? |

Offline | I think there is a market out there for aftermarket replacement parts that aren't performance biased. Take exhausts for instance, they last for three years. MINI ones dealer fitted are expensive, and not everyone wants a loud replacement. So a stainless replacement that's no louder than stock? Just a thought ![]() ![]() |

Offline | replacement stainless exhaust are being done and should be with me in a month, for one/cooper/and S I have a whole list of replacement parts yet to list on site based on what we see failing on the cars through workshop from brake calipers, rads etc also we are getting a replacement clutch (maybe flywheel) for the cooper and S not as performance item but a more durable and quality item than stock with better thrust bearing -still at manufacturers under design at the moment, |

Offline | The cooper s single exit would require some cutting of the original pipe ,we did offer a straight exit for the cooper/one to mimic the cooper s ,using a bmw silencer that fits well and worked well ,this needed again cutting the existing pipe and a cooper S rear trim panel- asking owners to cut exhaust pipes causes problems!! |

Offline | 1 the vented side panels are available p/n NMX1030 price around £800 a pair 2 carbon petrol cap could be done although as all the carbon parts would be expensive,I shall ask our carbon fabricators to price some up 3 a removeable towbar can be done, the BMW M3 has one ,and a similar snap fitting could be made ,the cooper s with the center exhaust would mean an alteration to the mount system, and the chassis design at the rear does not lend itself to a great tow mount , rear fog/rev light also not a help, it could be done ,but would be fairly complex and hence expensive 4 chrome ashtray is an easy one -would look good with logo ( bmw would not allow that though !!) -good idea 5 mirror caps again easy ,its the sheer number of designs that are available as with decals 6 the sports wheels could be done in various leathers and designs, however it is more a one off retrim job rather than a quantity item to be produced, there are also a large amount of real nice steering wheels available, but the air bag is the problem 7 the high end jap parts can all be made here at the same quality, billet aluminium, carbon, titanium all can be done ,however design ,style are all subject to taste, brand marking is also an issue -would you pay top dollar for a mirror in carbon on billet ali without the brand name? we could produce very quickly carbon lightweight seats,or carbon body panels but again is the demand there yet? |

Offline | Decent trim rings that arent cheap looking chrome plastic. Maybe even real metal. Matching heater/AC controls. A one piece dash for pre and post facelift cars rather than the three or five piece dash. Rear seat delete kit. Flared arches at the top so they can still match up to stock body kits. Brake vents like the JCW motorsport ones that arent silly expensive. |

Offline | Carbon Fibre MCS bonnets that are a decent price and dont break if a BMW mechanic slams it shut. MCS Radiator with aluminium end tanks, rather than the OEM's plastic ones (Which split on mine). OEM one costs £145 from minimatt.co.uk or £195 form my local BMW dealership. Oil cooling kit that uses the factory oil cooler mount holes and uses a thermostat to make it only cool the oil when it gets to a temperature that needs cooling. Prices that make it reasonable to buy direct from you, rather than getting things shipped from the USA. Take the engine damper for example. Its £95 including shipping from TXWerks, or £136 EXCLUDING shipping from MiniManiaUK. |
