Does anyone know how long the warranty is on minis in uk - can't seem to find it in the brochure

3 years/unlimited mileage on new cars.

1 year/unlimited mileage on MINI Cherished.

Is it a manufacturers warranty for full 3 years for MINI?

Some do 1 year manufacturer and then 2 years dealer (insurance claim based),

A quick question if I may - if buying a mini that's under 3 years old from an independent dealer ie not mini cherished, is the manufacturers warranty still valid?
I ask this as I've read that with some manufacturers eg Porsche, if the car is sold through a non-main dealer, warranty is voided.
Is this the case with BMW/Mini?

I beleve that the warranty if fully transferrable..meaning that it will be valid for full 3 years no matter where you get it.

You can also get the TLC extended to 5 years or 80,000 miles. On BMW cars you can get the manufacturers warranty extended up to 100,000 miles BUT it has to be continuous. If there is a break then you cannot continue it.

Manufacturer warranties are exactly that, a warranty supplied by the manufacturer, so they apply for the stated duration regardless of how many times, or where, the car changes hands.

Some manufacturers still only offer a 1 or 2 year warranty on new cars, topped up to 3 years by a dealer warranty. These are the ones that may not be valid if the car changes ownership through a non-franchised dealer.

The MINI warranty is a full 3 year manufacturers warranty, so you've nothing to worry about.
