| The traction on some cars is more delayed and far more vigerous when it does come on. I had issues with mine being very quick to go on and being very on/off. A change at the dealer saw this become far more progressive but now it can cause significant acceleration reduction imo. Switch it off and the car is like a rocket...but with 220ish I leave it on in a vain attempt to stop me burning through tyres |

| I'd guess that with traction control on it may soften the throttle response (ie less opening of throttle butterfly for the same amount of pedal movement or slower opening of the butterfly) in the lower gears, but its unlikely it limits the peak power or torque in the max speeds. Accelleration may be affected but top speed wont be. |
