| I'm avin 'oops | Last friday I had a company day It was just north of Swindon so left home with plenty of time to get there and we arrived fine. Surprise suprise it was raining (I think we had a little that day) Anyway after the day of activities we moved on to the hotel. On the way I had to cross a few floods and I was worried about reports of water being drawn into the engine etc BUT not a problem at all Well 1 slight problem, the water at some point must have pushed upwards on the front plate and it broke a mounting. (Question WHY DO THE FITTERS PUT THE SCREWS AT THE TOP?) So out I pop in the rain and take of the remaining screw to stop it dragging and put it on my dash (NOTE the vents near the bottom of screen are in perfect position to slip the screws in to hold a plate in place )After a night of frivolities I awoke next morning tired!!!!!! and before yu say anything I dont drink so no hangover!!! I left the area just south of Swindon at 10 am On the way I had to traverse a rather large flood on the A419 and after queueing in traffic for 90 mins to make the passage I did so with no probs. GOOD OLD PEPE! Fosse way next. Great road for driving!!! No major problems apart from abandoned cars near Moreton In the Marsh. Well no real problems until I got to 4 miles from home. River over road, too deep to cross and current too strong. Backtrack to another local route. within 3 miles and another flood. What then followed was a period of time involving lots of backtracking and turning round. Let's just say to cover the final 4 miles to my house took 1 and a half hours and 30 miles! Ok I am not complaining and I know alot of people are worse off than me BUT I did not have my wallet with me (company day so no need) my phone battery was flat and I arrived home with 5 miles left on the distance till empty reading on my dash lol I was worried but in the end I was very HAPPY Pepe did me proud and ran like a dream all day and has since, despite some flood traversing and not so nice weather. VIVA LA PEPE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ![]() ![]() More Air + More Fuel = More Power!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |
