Offline | Whats peoples opinions on getin Air Con? I didn't get it (got Chilli Pack instead), I thought "Never had before, not going to miss it.." but now I'm not sure. Though the English summers are quiet mild do you think I should have got? Is it pratical having it fitted now? has anyone had it fitted post delivery? would cost a bit i imagine???? Oh sleepless night, how can I make them stop. ![]() All Cooped Up Keep on Motoring........ |

| Awwww %%%% it! | I didn't have it fitted but would have done if I'd known I was going to get so much mire for my previous car with a private sale rather than trade-in. I asked my dealer about a post delivery fit but he didn't recommend it. Advised that it can be done, not as an official BMW option, but it may make the car sluggish compared to the factory fit. I'll add it though when I order my next one, Summer's are getting longer and more humid. It's also great for demisting in the winter. |

Offline | get ac i dunno about the weather over there but i had a car w/o AC. it was my first car. i opted not to get AC just to keep the price of the car down, only to regret it later. especially when its hot and it rains, you can't open the windows unless u don't mind getting wet. if you close the windows the car gets all fogged up inside. also after parking in the sun, the car is sweltering hot. its also not feesable to have it installed later because it will cost more than getting it as a factory installed option. |

Offline | IMO A/C is a must if you live in the city. The polution is so bad you can't really drive around with the windows down all the time ![]() It really helps in winter too as it demists everything really quickly. Not only does A/C cool the air it also dehumidifies which I think a lot of people forget BTW Allcoopedup where did you get your MINI from???? Altwood, Heathrow or Sytner Gerrards Cross? I guess those are the closest to you. MINI, RX8 and MX5 - Done those............. It's now TTime ![]() ![]() Unofficial MINI2.com bean counter |

Offline | I couldn't really do without it, although our summer hasn't been great I've used it most days. I really hate stuffy warm air and air con makes me feel much more comfortable and relaxed. It's a personal thing really. Just a shame it costs so much! |

Offline | I have climate control and have it set at 16/17 deg C as I like to be cool/cold when I drive. Can't live without CC IMHO for people who do not like the heat like myself and Mr DK - anything above 20 deg C is hot to us!!! ![]() DK ![]() |

Offline | I was told that A/C was standard but the "automatic" A/C was a $300 option. Please let my dealer be right because I will NOT take the car w/out A/C. The humidity factor is a biggy for me I hate sticking to everything now and I have cloth seats the leatherette would be a nightmare. ![]() |

Offline | Just in case anyone is thinking about retro fitting aircon, it ias VERY expensive if the dealer do it using proper parts and thier labour. I costed up retro AC for a mk4 Golf for a customer of mine. I stopped costing at £2900!!!! I would hazard a guess and say that it wouldn't be far from that at a BMW dealer..... ![]() Sold MINI, Bought Volvo V40 TD. I Feel Dirty! |
