Offline | Thirsty !! Hello there I'm really getting upset with my 07 plate MINI It's worse on petrol than my 03 plate - and i thought it was meant to be better Anyway Im forever filling up and was thinking of investing in a mobile petrol tanker to tow around ![]() anyone else feel tired of visiting petrol forecourts !? I do a lot of motorway driving and Im no angel with speeds - accelerate quite hard etc,the last machine coped but this time it seems it's just an open valve into the engine - should I just start sticking to slower speeds and will this make a difference ? Look forward to hearing other views Thanks May the road long rise up to meet you........ |

Offline | I getting 51mpg at the moment from a r56 Cooper (motorway driving constant speeds 60-70) - I do hate the small tank though. I've also worked it out manually and the computer is about right and the red light comes on at about 10l left in the tank. |

Offline | That must be the reason why you need to fill up more. But I suppose its not costing you as much to fill up the 40litre than the 50litre. I think that was a bit of a bad design point. Supposed to be improving time between fill ups not dropping it. |

| Wants an Audi | If you have less weight on board (fuel) the better the MPG..... maybe A 160 Mile round trip with mostly M6 involved cost me £20.00, with the odd use of the right foot . I also had cruise control on a lot of the way.I think thats about 30MPG and a cost 13p a mile with Shell V+ (38MPG costs 10p a mile with V+) ![]() Now With Toyo Rubber!! ![]() |
