If Complain we must

Hello All:

Just wanted to register my perturbedness - (don't usually speak like this - but I know most of the readers of this site are from ...Great Britain? - yes that sounds respectful enuf - remove the question mark. - and we all know you guys know how to speak ...English.

So - I shelled out all this money - have to deal with all the "where is the rest of your car" jokes - not to mention all that extra space staring at me in my driveway - begging to be filled ...by something. And on top of all that - after a heavy rain - opening the drivers side door results in drops on moi. NOw isn't that enuf to get one upset? I mean after 3000 miles - what do I have to complain about? A few drops of water - pshaw, I say. Gonna go look for trouble under the ..bonnet.
Regards to all - and my car is not cute. It is a sports car.
Barry

Welcome Barry! As for the extra space in the driveway, why not take two, they're small.

I just keep a microfiber towel in the door pocket. It is kind of annoying, but there are so many other good things about the car that I don't care too much.

I can fit both my Minis in the garage, 8-foot tall toolbox, 900-lb Honda Goldwing motorcycle, and still have room to walk all the way around them all to top-off the tires properly in the morning.

Safety fast,
Bill

The wet seat issue-was the main reason i changed from cloth (which gets marks on it) to half leather-easier to keep dry and clean :-)

it depends how quick you open the door, if you open it real quick you get the problem, but if you open the door slowly, the water doesn't get catapulted into the car :P

Are you guys serious about the rain on the seats?
Ha!
I guess that 20 years of long-distance motorycycling have made me forgiving of anything that has a roof...

Safety fast,
Bill

Hello All - and thanks for the moderate replies.
Droll is me. More than satisfied with my R-56 Mini. Put that little bally thing on the antenna to satisfy my wife. What a poor substitute for buying the auto trans. That will cost a small fortune in counselling to lessen my guilt. Or - I might just take a ride with the sport button active.

Have you noticed how the rear quarter has that little slope in the darkened glass area or that neat way of getting a few extra inches of space in rear using the pivot hooks - though just about everything gets into the boot anyway (boot, bonnet .... the guys in Brooklyn are turning over).
Enjoy,
Barry

the little kinks on the C pillars change the aerodynamics to stop all the crap from collecting on the rear window like with the R50 :]
