I think HWS is in another league
If my boss had let me have a mini for work back in 2003 I would have been around the 300,000mile mark by now! but he didn't so I now drive volvo in the week and the mini is for the weekend

HWS, welcome to MINI2! I suspect your record will stand for a while. If you want to do a little more driving, check out this thread for a plan in the works for a US cross country drive next year:

Congratulations, HWS! That's some mileage, and it inspires me to keep my Mini. I was concerned that reliability might be a problem. Indeed, it might, but I think I'll just keep it serviced properly and see what happens!

I was considering getting an Alfra Romeo, where reliability problems are pretty much guaranteed, so sticking with the Mini may be wise.

I'm at the other end of the scale.

4th MCS and total mileage for all 4 is about 25k

Thank You, YellowMININY !
I'd not have known about the planned 2008 Coast-to-Coast MINI Drive without your help.

I'm truly interested - and just asked them to save me a spot if still possible.
I'll try to stay "In Training" till then.
So, can't talk any more now.
Gotta Go.

'Bye

Wow, 227,000. I'm in awe. My 41 year old Mustang is only 20,000 miles ahead of that. I thought I was doing pretty well with 79,500 on my '02.

England I can verify HWS's claims

I'm a MINI Motoring Adviser in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and he was just sat at my desk and mentioned this thread to me. He just brought his car in for new tires and it left here with precisely 228,019 miles on it.

P.S

He's the nicest man you could ever meet!
