Just found this thread and the adventures of HWS. Impressive mileage HWS. I thought my MCSC had done some kilometers (miles) but it pales when compared with HWS. My 05 MCSC has only done 227,000 Kms (141,000 miles). Owned it from new, no mechanical issues, still a lovely car to drive ( 160Km commute each day) and the car still loves the twisty bits.

Not much new news again this time.

The beautiful thing about having a car this capable and reliable
is that it's very seldom necessary to tell people about
parts that have worn out, fallen off,
or things that are just crying out to be 'improved'.

No, this might actually be the most 'as delivered' MINI out there; -
I know I've mentioned it - but, you probably don't remember -
this MINI is still quietly cruising with its original muffler -
and shocks - and struts - and transmission - and most other things.

Well, gotta go now; - We're having a delightfully mild winter this year -
sun's out - and I'll have the SunRoof open for my 50 mile drive to Dinner.

P.S. HINT: Don't sell your old MINI prematurely- after 300 or 400 thousand miles
you'll really be proud of it. There were no car washes nearby,
so this is exactly how it looked when I stopped to take its
475,000 mile pictures near the Milwaukee Wisconsin Art Center.
