Unhappy I could cry. Alloy pain

I could cry. My MCS is less than a week old and I curbed the nearside front alloy.
It's marked on the tyre edge on 1/2 its circumference.

Any suggestions (apart from you bloody idiot), as to what I should do? Can it be repaired - any idea how much? Should I try rubbing the scuffing down and repainting and polishing?
Or as a last resort does anyone know how much a new 17" Slite is - from Mini or secondhand?

Look in the yellow pages or try www.yell.com & find a company that does alloy repairs It costs around £70

Personally if its bad i would bite the bullet and get a new wheel, i think a S spoke 17" is about £90, could be wrong though

It's not very bad but £90 isn't that bad I price. Would have thought it more. Maybe double that

I'm about crying just thinking about it you poor bugger.

If it's bad buy a new wheel. It'll just upset you everytime you look at it otherwise.

Check out the yellow pages and find somehwere that will bead blast it and repsray the paint / laquer for you.

As long as the kerbing isn't to deep it should come up ok and probably only cost about £40 - £50.

Ask around some of the tyre / wheel suppliers in your area - they should be able to recommend someone.

One final point - be more careful in future

Andy

(don't beat yourself up over it - sh*t happens occasionally)

WICKED WHEELS is AFAIK a national franchise. They will repair the wheel at you rwork or home for about £50. If you're ever in Cambridge, I know a guy who can do it for £40 but by the time you add the fuel on from Lancs, you might as well buy a new wheel

Both the nearside wheels on my car have been refurbished due to the missus's lack of spacial awareness and you wouldn't tell the difference.
