Hello there and welcome to MINI2,

Ill start by saying a good set of lights will be a set of wipac lights you can get them hear,

WIPAC SPOT LAMP KIT CHROME BMW MINI + BRACKETS on eBay, Mini, Car Parts, Cars, Parts Vehicles (item 140152826560 end time 08-Sep-07 20:52:29 BST)

Personnal ive had a set of wipacs on my last MINI and the MINI i have now came with OEM lamps and they are close enough to being identical, And if you see my fitting unstructions on hear you can fit them your self for under a fiver!

Windows generally cost around £150 - £200 for the 3 rear windows. Shop around your local companys for a good quote.

Hear is a Cooper S Fuel cap many members have these one from Ebay and are the same item as an OEM cap, im sure someone can explain how to fit this on hear.

BMW MINI GENUINE COOPER S CHROME FUEL CAP on eBay Fuel Caps Covers, Exterior Styling, Car Tuning Styling, Cars, Parts Vehicles (item 170146806683 end time 16-Sep-07 12:19:14 BST)

Im not sure about the arm rest sorry

Best Regards Scott

Nope you will need a Relay

Maplin > 40A SPNO & 30A SPDT Automotive Relay

And then you will need a few meters of suitable cable and a few spade connectors, Zip ties etc etc...

Im from Thronaby near Boro

Hears my fitting instructions copy and paste them, id rather fit them my selft than pay £300 from a dealer!

http://www.mini2.com/forum/exterior/...le-novice.html

see post number 4 or 5

Ohh and what ever people say about lights need coding from BMW take no notice thats only when the lights are fitted from new.

I suppose it's personal preference but in my opinion aftermarket spot lamps just look gash and are generally poor quality. Genuine items look the best so long as you keep on top of the rust.

As for price, arent they about £135 for the kit? Price for fitting at a main dealer is around £260 depending on which one you go to. Also, i'm not sure where Scottyboy gets his info but they will need coding whenever they are fitted.

Centre armrests are abit over £100 aren't they? dead easy to fit, just a case of undoing 2 seat bolts. unless of course you wanted the bluetooth kit which is a different story.

With the windows, if you pay peanuts then chances are you'll get a **** job. i'd be prepared to pay upto around £200.

It is preferance but how can many people be going wrong with a company that have been making diving lamps for many years such as wipac have it wrong , they are a very good quality lamp. My wipacs did not rust, cost = £60 quid fitted, My OEM lamps are falling apart from the inside and if you want to strip your lights down and dry them every time it rains then thats a good option! Cost = £300 to the last owner

So that they could be £300 at her dealer,

Hears the OFFICIAL BMW/MINI Drivinglight instructions, i challenge you to find on that set of instructions were it says that they need to be Coded!

You are right about the R56 lights, they dont need coding. But they're are completely different.

The date on the top of instructions for the R50 etc kinda give it away they're out of date. there's probably been a dozen updates to those instructions since then. But what would i know?

As for the bluetooth thingy. A retrofit centre arm rest is available with a bluetooth cradle but as far as im aware whether or not you can have this is dependent on spec?
