Just had a call from my dealer to say my Cooper is now built and at the distribution centre at Thorne(?).
They're going to call me again tomorrow with a choice of registration mumbers. Chap from the dealer wasn't sure how long it would be before I could take delivery. Anyone any idea? The suspense is kiling me!!
Delivery to a dealership from Thorne usually takes up to a week for a sold unit, slightly longer during busy times, followed by 2-3 working days to have the car prepped and cleaned ready for handover.
Only if a Cherished Transfer is involved.
First registration of a new car with an issued '57' plate or a cherished number held on a retention certificate/certificate of entitlement is done at the dealership and takes minutes.
The fact that Minishaker's dealership are calling with a registration number makes it fairly obvious the latter is the case.
