Thumbs up What non standard upgrades have you made to your Mini that you could not live without

Should be Mini'd up in the next fortnight. I was just wondering what upgrades you have made that are non BMW spec'd.Cheers

What little modifications have you made to improve on the original item?

Just liitle bits that BMW forgot or dismissed????????

depends what model you are getting

for me it was ripping out the awful MINI sound system and replacing it with a much better after market one. Can't do that with the R56 though

Whalen shift knob is very high on my list of things I wouldn't do without either.

Love my Whalen for both it's wonderful workmanship, and the improvement it made to the gear changes. Also love my soundkit, the exhaust note is great.

I was thinking smaller than that. I recently had a suzuki swift as a pool car and the boot cover did not lift when you opened the hatch.

I rectified this

Thats the sort of thing I am thinking about rather than additional factory mods and options.

Ah see what you mean. The Whalen is an aftermarket item and is a definite improvement on the original. As for along the lines you mean, I'll have a think. Dismantled the interior of my previous MINI and put it back together properly to eliminate rattles/squeeks. Can't think of anything on this one.
