Offline | Keep in mind new vs old in relation to the mpg.... new R56 MCS is reported to do as many mpg as older MC...of course new MC will be more frugal than the MCS... ...and test drive(s) will help you have a better idea on what suits you.. |

| MC57 | Well what a mini adventure I have had this weekend, and very educational too. I started Saturday afternoon travelling to a trader in Maidstone to look at a black cooper around the £10k mark and what a dissapointment! The car was in terrible condition, the seats torn the body work dented the engine very mucky - very different to the pictures I had looked at. Needless to say I came away very deflated. I then travelled across the other side of town to look at another garage which I was aware had a couple of mini's. Both of these were also very poor in preperation. One thing I did notice was the leather on the seats bagging.Again I left feeling flat. So..there was one way to boost myself and that was too visit my main dealer, and I'm sooo glad i did. The Cooper in the show room was superb, and made my eyes widen! Yes it was also speced up to £15k but wowweee what a car! So, so different to the poor examples I had looked at in other garages. The car was much better quality bulid it felt all together a much better car! I now need to think long and hard but I think I need to save too because I was really impressed. I hope to go back next weekend and start talking deals etc. |

| MC57 | Well I am still buzzing I have bought myself a brand new Mini Cooper, the one from the showroom that I fell in love with. I went in with the intention of being sensible but it just fell out the door! The test drive was just so much fun it confirmed that this is what I was going to do, I had some monet saved and was left some too so I did it. Thanks to everyone for their help and friendliness, with all the info I gathered from the site it helped me to make a great purchase and I'm smiling like a cheshire cat!! ![]() Also Dad decided to treat me too this weekend and he bought me a plate for her, I'm such a lucky girl! Thanks again to you all x |

| MC57 | Ok so I have failed slightly, I picked the car up Saturday and just haven't been able to stop my adventure to take pics. I promise to calm down very soon and get a good snap for you all to see.The only small thing I have noticed is that when I use my Ipod a few songs "crackle" in the speakers, do people think this is just the songs? Or could I maybe have a prob? |

Offline | Congratulations Hi Dollie Well done on your new Mini. I think you can be forgiven for not getting those pics up . I have heard some people say sometimes the iPod skips a little but have not heard of crackling before. I would try reloading those songs on the iPod and trying it again. If it persists I would go back to the dealer...Hope it works out for you. WD |
