lowering springs - not lowered the car?!

hi all , i lowered our 03 plate mini cooper yesturday, all went well and didnt take very long to do , we used 35mm kw lowering springs, as i was recomended these would lower our car more than the eibach springs. which is what i wanted.
The end result is that the car sits the same as before! pos' 5mm lower i feel this carnt be right?! ive seen a cooper s near use which has got eibach springs fitted and it's nice and low (arch hugging) so why hasnt it lowered ours? could our car already have factory sports suspension? the shockers did have cooper s writen on them,
has anybody got any idea how i get it nice and low without using coil overs? any pictures would be great thanx

Have you actually measured the gap from hub to arch? I bet its significantly lower than stock...

how long have they been fitted as it takes up to 6 months for the springs to fully settle right down to their max drop IMO. Mine certainly did. Mine is not scraping the floor and in fact looks quite tall still but if you take a stock S and stick your fingers between the tyre and arch you can fit significantly less of them in the gap between my arch and tyre than a stock car....but it doesn't look that much lower

thanx for the reply, i fitted them on saturday, i could fit 3 fingers in the front arc and 2 in the rear before lowering it, now its about 5mm lesser then before, weve done about 60-70 miles so far so fingers crossed it will drop down.
