Dont forget that the MCS has a 50 litre tank like the previous generation but the COOPER and ONE get a 40 litre tank.

mmmm... would that be a MCS or MC/One.....they have different tank sizes...suppose CooperD might be different also.

My MCS normally takes about £45 of V-power to fill.

ok so yu know that the tank is 40 litres

and petrol is as an example 93.9 ppl for normal unleaded

40 X 93.9 = 37.56

I should be picing up my car at the weekend and the garage have said it comes with £25 fuel.

I will be calling them saying that it really should have a full tank as it is £16,000.

I only got 1/2 a tank..and spent more than £16k...

And £25 will give more than half a tank...

Why not? VW supplied my last car with a full tank and that was no where near £16,000

Good for them. But just because one dealership supplies cars with a full tank of petrol why should it automatically follow that all others must do so as well?

And what's the price of the car got to do with it? Are you more important spending £16,000 than someone that can only afford to spend £8,000?

No you're not. I'd expect to be treated the same if I was buying a £10k MINI off the forecourt or a £70k 7-series.

All I'd advise is check your invoice, and see if you were billed for fuel, and if so how much... I was charged £35.00 for fuel when i bought my car, and received it with a 3/4 full tank, which in my opinion is quite fair. This charge was built into the delivery charge for the car.

Its all about perception this really. I hope to leave the garage 100% happy the Wayside VW bods were superb. Fingers crossed the Mini garage will match this!

Still will see how it goes!

You should leave the garage happy that you got what you paid for - were you charged for fuel, and if not did you negociate it as part of the deal?

If the answer to both of these is NO, then I can't see what you are complaining about.

Surely that's a complaint, is it not?

you should be thankful you get any fuel....my mum collected her brand new car with just enough fuel in it to get her to the local petrol station :-)

Enjoy your MINI
