'Ello! I'm the new guy coming from Washington, DC. I'm in my last year of University and am looking to get a new 2007 MCS to retire my current daily driver to the garage as a weekend racer. I drive a 90' Mazda Miata thats pretty heavily modified and its beginning to be a bother to drive every day. Its not very safe or practical and it really needs a new paint job after 16 yrs. I'm really big into cars and modding them so I think the mini will satisfy me during the week until I can get home and work on my other projects. Hopefully you guys can answer some of my questions and I can be driving a New, new mini very soon. Its very hard to convince myself to go from RWD to FWD. Here's some pics of my current car:

I also have some noob questions I was hoping you guys could answer....

1) Is it worth spending the extra on the 2nd gen or looking for a used one for slightly cheaper?
2) Are the dealers still accepting orders for 2007's or are they up to 2008's? How long is the delivery time?
3) Ive heard about problems past 50K miles. Are they reliable or can I keep the car for a long time?
4) Is this the main mini forum or are there other sub forums out there directed specifically to performance, styling etc?
